How to say “Good bye” in Japanese, Tokyo/Osaka

When we say “good bye”

to somebody older,

or somebody you don’t know well,

we would say,



in our standard Japanese.


And when we say it to friends,

we say,

“jah ne”


or just

“bye bye”



But in Osaka,

people say

“hona sainara”


or just




Very different…
